There are 6 teams from Guangdong, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Xinjiang participating in the equestrian dressage team competition.

This is the first time in the history of the Shanghai team that it has reached the National Games Equestrian Dressage Team Finals, and they are the youngest (22.8 years old) among all six participating teams.

The competition subjects for this competition are the St. George subjects, including 26 movements such as shoulder inward, diagonal stride, shift, 8-meter circle multiplication, stretch running, air leg change, half hind limb rotation, and 3 step change. The technical actions constitute the rider’s technical score. The technical score is 320 points, plus a comprehensive score of 20 points, and the total score is 340 points.

The referee scores at three points, H, C, and B. Combining the scores of the three points and performing percentage conversion to obtain the final score of each pair of men and horses. The scores of the three pairs of centaurs with the highest scores for each team are added together to determine the ranking of the team. Most of the participating horses at the National Games of China which were ridden were Dutch KWPN horses. This comes due to its conformation, abilities, willingness, and reliable temperament. The KWPN horses are well suited for work both under saddle and in harness for the needs of the equestrian population in China.
