The scores of the three pairs of centaurs with the highest scores for each team are added together to determine the ranking of the team. Most of the participating horses at the National Games of China which were ridden were Dutch KWPN horses. This comes due to its conformation, abilities, willingness, and reliable temperament. The KWPN horses are well suited for work both under saddle and in harness for the needs of the equestrian population in China.
